How airport pickup works
Most rental counters mean a queue after a long flight, or a shuttle to an off-site lot. We do it differently.
- Before you fly, your concierge sends your Jeep's details straight to your phone.
- When you land and come out of arrivals, a map pin walks you to your Jeep in the airport parking lot.
- Enter your code and drive. Your own code unlocks the Jeep. No desk, no paperwork, no waiting for staff.
Tip: make sure WhatsApp works on your phone before you travel. It's the easiest way to reach us when you land.
What to have ready
- Your driving licence, held for at least one year (renters must be 25 or older).
- The Mastercard, Visa or American Express in the renter's name that you booked with. We don't accept debit or prepaid cards, and we don't take a security deposit.
- Your booking confirmation and the Jeep details we send you.
Jeep or taxi from the airport?
Taxis at PLS are mostly shared vans that charge per person, and you often wait while the driver fills the van. A shared ride for two to central Grace Bay is about $28, and a private transfer starts at around $135. Then you need a taxi every time you want to leave the hotel.
A Jeep is waiting when you land, takes your whole group and luggage, and gets you to Taylor Bay, Chalk Sound or dinner across the island whenever you like. Once you add up a few days of taxis to beaches and dinners, the Jeep often comes out ahead, especially for families.

Your first drive from the airport
Remember: drive on the left and go clockwise at roundabouts, giving way to cars already on them. The airport road takes you straight to Leeward Highway, the main road across the island. Grace Bay is to the east (right), and Long Bay, Chalk Sound and Taylor Bay are to the south and west. Read our guide to driving in Turks and Caicos before you go.
