This policy explains what personal information Turks Jeeps Ltd ("we", "us") collects when you visit our website or rent a Jeep from us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are a small, locally run business based in Long Bay Hills, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands.
What we collect
When you book or rent a Jeep: your name, email address, phone number, the details of the drivers on the rental, driving licence details, date of birth (to confirm drivers are 25 or older), your pickup and return dates, times and location, and any flight, hotel or villa details you give us for delivery. Payment card details are entered into our booking system's secure payment provider when you pay.
During your rental: records of the vehicle's condition at pickup and return, including photos, and any incident, damage, traffic fine or toll information connected to the rental.
When you contact us: the messages you send us by email, phone or WhatsApp.
When you browse our website: basic technical information that websites receive automatically, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. We do not currently use our own advertising or tracking cookies; the services listed below may set their own.
How we use it
We use your information to take and manage your booking, deliver and collect your Jeep, take payment, contact you about your rental, handle damage, fines or incidents, meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations, and answer your questions. We do not sell your personal information, and we don't send marketing messages unless you've asked us to.
Who we share it with
We share only what is needed with the services that help us run the business:
HQ Rentals, our online booking and reservation system; our card payment provider, to process payments and refunds; Wix, which hosts this website; and Google and WhatsApp, if you choose to open a map link or message us there. These providers have their own privacy policies.
We may also share information with the police, courts, insurers or other authorities when the law requires it, or when needed to deal with an accident, damage, a traffic violation or a claim connected to your rental, as set out in our terms and conditions.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and rental records for as long as we need them to provide the rental and to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations, and to deal with any claims. After that we delete them or keep them in a form that no longer identifies you.
How we protect it
Bookings and payments are handled by established providers using secure, encrypted connections, and only the people who need your information to run your rental can see it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep your information safe.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it where we no longer need to keep it. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under your local data protection laws. To make a request, email us at turksjeeps@gmail.com and we will reply as soon as we can.
Children
Our rentals are for adults; drivers must be at least 25. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, other than a child's age when you request a child or booster seat.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
